  • Read once and mark confusion. Discuss claim and main ideas. Add to annotation. Identify rhetorical strategies.

In your notebook, write a descriptive outline for the Clinton article. Make sure you chunk your paragraphs together first- then write 1-2 sentences summarizing each chunk and 1 sentence explaining the chunk's purpose. Identify two tone words and find evidence for support. Add this assignment to your notebook check form.

AP 11 

  • Clinton article- identify purpose. Write some notes to help you answer the following question: How does Clinton's use of rhetorical strategies/devices helps him achieve his purpose? 

  • Students will get their final back: multiple choice answer sheet, Q2 (RA for "Owls") and Q3 (Argument for Sontag).

  • You will get a key for the multiple choice questions that explains each question. You will need to go through your incorrect answers, identify the type of question it is, then take notes in your notebook. 

    • ​ you will have Thu/Fri and part of Monday for this.

Friday 1/12

Turn in Essays (w/ RD and Graphic Org) and Section 2 and 3. 

Work on your Clinton article response. Remember to use the template on the back of the cover page (it should also be written in your notebook from last semester). 

 

AP 11 

  • Non-fiction project #3 titles are due today! You can change them up to next Friday, then you're stuck with it. 

  • Make sure that your Clinton question is completed in your notebook. 

  • Work on MC test questions. Remember that you're trying to identify the TYPE of question you missed most. Take notes in your notebook.
