Monday 4/24: 

ERWC- Young (pg. 122 of ERWC book)- descriptive outline in notebooks. Chunk your paragraphs: intro, conclusion, body paras. Then label what the topic of the chunk was. 

 

AP 11- handout "A Modest Proposal." Read together, personal response annotations: questions, confusion, unknown words, (dis)agreements, allusions. 

Then, Identify Purpose, Argument, Persona, Audience and rhetorical strategies like irony, sarcasm, hyperbole, repetitions. Then, how did Swift organize his argument?

Audre Lorde Article, first read and annotations.

Lorde Journal : open the doc and choose ONE of the quotes. In your notebook on the right side, respond/analyze in paragraph format the quote in terms of Lorde's message/ argument.

Practice MC test; 2 rhetorical strategy prompts to dissect and discuss.

Thursday 4/27: 

ERWC- Chrome Lab

You should be working on your Final Presentation project. Remember you have multiple assignments to do. 

  • Outline: If you don't know what an outline format looks like, Google it. 

  • Brainstorm your lessons before you try to organize it into a format. 

  • Visual aid- if you're using Prezi or Powerpoint, make sure you can share it to my turlockusd.org email. Use your TUSD Google Drive for any slideshows. 

    • Remember that your visual does not have to be digital. 

AP 11-

continue dissecting and discussing RS prompts.

ERWC- review the requirements for a PAPA square again. Choose Tannen, Young, or Lorde and complete a PAPA square for that article (due on May 3 with the rest of the LGC unit materials)
